Finally got around to getting the new top I bought back in April fit to the MGB. Found a local upholstery shop who could do the top and also fix a tear in the driver's seat. They're going to replace the zipper in my tonneau and make the driver's headrest pocket a bit bigger so I can put it on without having to move the seat forward.

Nice to have the top done. It uses the older pack-away frame which I do like -- don't use the top much in the summer and it's nice to have the space behind the seats clear. New top also has a zip-down rear window, helpful for when its really hot out and I need some shade.

Guy did a nice job, the top is nice and snug.

Looks really good, Drew. Kinda surprised you didn't DIY, they aren't that complicated to fit.

Time, Doc, is the thing I don't have. If I tried to find time to get it done, it might be years in the future.

Do you need a set of side mirrors?

No, I need a new set of door skins (or some welding work). The cracks-of-doom make my mirror mounts loose and the flop around and stare at the sky. One of these days...

Time... yup. Know that issue well. The supply of Round Tuits here is diminished.

Mine have all turned into Out Of Round Tuits.

Wing mount mirrors......I'm just sayin

Nice looking top.
I found another B in the
Junk yard again today.
This one is a 78, and they are trying
to sell it as a whole running car.
Car starts, heard it run, but it will sit
there until heck freezes over, or someone if
willing to pay $1500 for it. But in looking
in the trunk, low and behold (and I don't think
the wrecking yard knows or cares if its there)
A brand spanking new unmounted unused top.

So here I am, thinking about how to get it
out of the trunk, so I can get it on half price
day comming up.
