Well, as mentioned in an earlier post, I managed to fix the oil filter blowing problem (I think) by installing the oil pressure relief valve correctly. Now I have the new clutch installed and was about to install the tranny back, but discovered that the little stud with the rounded head which the throwout bearling pivots on is BROKEN! I'm guessing this is probably one of those parts I will have to get at the dealer (probably need a 2nd mortgage).

Problems like this are one of the reasons I love working in a place where I have access to a machine shop!
Better to find it now than have it break as soon as everything is back together.

Well, I went to the dealer yesterday and to my surprise they actually had the part in stock and it was only $7 (for what amounts to a stud with a rounded head). A also stopped by Auto Zone and picked up a new clutch slave cylinder ($18). Now, hopefull, I will be able to get my little truck back on the road again by the weekend.
