Avoiding Water Puddling on Tonneau

Our BJ7 is parked outside at the moment, with its tonneau cover in place. However - even with the cross bar supporting it, water collects over the rear seat area. Voila! Problem solved with an exercise ball of the appropriate size. Doug

Convertible tops should be stored in the up position to keep their shape. Put it down, drive, put it back up for storage. That way it keeps its shape.

The tonneau might keep that ball shape?

I'd check on it every now and then. It may stretch that convex shape in. Then once the ball is removed, it may be concave?

Don't want to be a Debbie Downer, so just thought it might be wise to check on it. I like your idea.

Unfortunately, the neighour's kid had drug his dog in there with him. Poor little bugger! Dog was dehydrated and depleted and not doing well. Got the Paramedics to put an IV in and we had distilled water and a good single malt scotch available, and then we carried the dog home after he recovered. Dunno where the kid went after I swatted his backside...
Hopefully my sense of humour is not excessively tasteless, but I liked the Mac & Phyllis comment!
And the top was left down last year as I couldn't get it all connected up last fall when we tucked it away for the winter in its Bubble, so the plan is to gather some strong friends (and some mini-come-alongs) and get our BJ7's top UP! before storage this year.
Projects have gone as expected but not as hoped this year: the Healey has been outside since we took it out of storage in May. And we occasionally have horrendous, baseball sized, hail here (e.g. about three weeks ago, but a different part of the city)...
Buddy Jeff and I hung a porous fabric > Rectangle Shade Sail - Lee Valley Tools < over the BJ7 several weeks ago; Jeff has had one up over his deck for about three years. The fact that it is porous so won't collect water nor wind has my hopes up, but I don't know how it would hold up to hail. Doug

get a beachball, or two, of the proper size, inflate, set in driver's and passenger's seats...you know where i'm going with this, right? ;)
