Anyone put an extra return spring on the carb linkage between the two carbs? What is the attachment point at the manifold? Pics?:encouragement:

Original setup seems to work pretty well. Why would you need a second spring Karl? If something is binding, might be better to identify the cause and fix that? I would be concerned if linkage was binding as you don't want linkage to stick while you are driving. But, perhaps I'm missing the point of having a second spring. Cheers, Mike

Note that there already is a 'secondary' return spring there, a rotary spring on the front of the rear carb. If you want more return tension, it can be tightened by moving the clamp on the shaft and/or moving the clip that anchors it to the carb body.

But more tension is going to cause the throttle shaft bushings to wear quickly. Much better to find what is binding and fix that, IMO. If the throttle pedal seems too light, try replacing the spring at the firewall.
