A little while back there was a thread about engine coffee tables. Considering all the parts we have in our garage and looking at the prices of these pieces, maybe I should rethink putting them back together.

Decorating with car parts
 
OH Goodness!!!! I think I'll scrap out the spitfire and sell it as art. At those prices I'll be rich in no time. :p
 
Wow! Impressive. Reminds me of the Packard carburetor that my father turned into a lamp, only more expensive. :smile:

My first midget's engine was toast. It had been rebuilt and bored out one too many times, wouldn't hold compression...that block would have been a prime candidate for this type of project. I'm still tempted to try this on the next worn out motor I get. The only thing is...it would be HEAVY wouldn't it? I mean there's no moving it to vacuum. I wonder if there a way to mount it on casters or wheels so it could be scooted around.
 
Those "slider" pads. The ones wot allow ya to move pianos with one push.
