Austin Sprite 1971 - my dads pride and joy

Hi everyone.

I’m Ryan - the proud new owner of an Austin Sprite 1971 (not Healey). It’s a 1275 engine believe people refer to them as the ANN10s???

I was given this car from my Dad for my 40th birthday last week. He bought it 1 year before I was born and it’s been a constant presence in our garage ever since.

I remember playing James Bond in this car as a child, pushing the window washer and making machine gun noises, so as you can imagine this car means a lot to me.

It did have a part restoration some 10 years ago but it hasn’t moved for 4 years (the garage door has seized up and won’t open!)

My plan is to fully restore, including modern brake and fuel systems so that I can go on tour around Europe and beyond.

I just have to find the keys first haha

Pictures to follow when I work out how to make them smaller to be accepted on the post….and when I get the garage door open!

Very nice birthday gift, great birthday card, and wonderful project. Enjoy the ride and welcome to the British Car Forum.

Welcome to BCF! What a great Bday gift! Just Google how to make pictures smaller. The main thing is you want to the file size to be under 4MB. The way to do it varies depending on what system your on and what software you ave. Google is your friend ;)
