OK, I admit it.... I may be addicted to LBC's.
I have my eye on an Austin America (1971) and only if the price is right would I consider getting it.
So, anyone ever restored one? Any and all comments welcome.

Just kidding, An old co worker had one when 6 other co workers had B's. He was kind of ridiculed in fun.
Poor mans MG
My only experience.

Ok, ok, Don... I'll wear my Groucho Marx eyeglasses and moustache when I drive the car to protect my identity :jester:
Thought it might be fun as a driver.

Box o' tricks!

They can be a fun, funky ride if in fair condition.

BUT(!) getting one ~TO~ that state can be a challenge.

I'd pass... Barrett Jackson material it ain't. Get an old VW Beetle instead.

Thanks Doc. The hydro suspension system can be problematic I am told. I guess it was inovative in its day.
Barrett Jackson wouldn't even let it in their parking lot
With the work situation like it is, it was more of a whim than anything else.
Thanks for the advice guys.

Back in the day and in the Olde country I bought one in a moment of stupidity; worst car I ever had.

Goodyear made a product called "WingFill" a while back, for filling tires on forklifts, tractors, etc. Semi-solid, jelly-like filler. Often wondered if that would be a good "fix" for hydrolastic issues.

Never bothered to try it.

That sounds interesting Doc. I think all they used (or still do) is an antifreeze/water mix. This new material sounds like it could do the trick if the viscosity level is close enough to work.

Still not reason enuff to touch that tarbaby! :jester:

  :iagree:
