Austin Healey BT7 differential

Years ago, I replaced the differential on my BT7 (with overdrive) with a differential from an Austin Westminster (sorry, I don't reecall the ratios), because I had read that this was a good setup for general street use, and because my existing rear end was making some noise.

It fit perfectly, without any apparent problems, but I've always wondered if this was in fact a good setup. I haven't noticed any appreciable difference other than it being quieter.

Appreciate any comments....

With thanks
Dave

On my differential, the number of teeth are stamped on the housing, like "11/43". If that is on yours, it will tell you the ratio.

But, quieter is good.
