Giday guys.

Was looking through ebay.

Came across the following...
Rover 3500 V8

As you can tell, its selling pretty darn cheap.
Im thinking it may be a nice candidate for a v8 swap in my mg... whatcha recon?

I can do better, worse?
anything specific i need to ask regarding engine, dif, gearbox etc?

Cheers guys

Well, its over. Sorry I didn't get see this post earlier. If the enfine was in decent shape it would have been one of the better choices. The 3.5l Rover alloy is what the factory used in its V8 cars. It's a nice light little engine. The 3.5 and 3.9 liter versions from Land Rovers are good candidates also.

This is the engine used in the TR8 also. The tranny would have had to go. Its a dog I hear.

The Rover V8 is really popular here in the UK, and a lot of the kit cars and cobra replicas use it.

Is a specialist dealing with high-performance components for the engine.

The 3.5L with EFI and a little head and cam "massaging" would be a very nice addition...
