AUD662A Carb. Question

I bought a couple of new AUD662A carbs, new from a guy on ebay for my 1275. Previous posts have told me that they will work fine. However, I have a question. They have a tube coming out of the body, below the dome and above where the choke linkage goes. It is bigger than the gas lines tubes. What is it for, and what do I do with it? Maybe something to do with overflow of fuel or something. montpaul@msn.com

If it's on the outside, it's part of the smogging stuff. Or is it on the inside, like this......662 were fitted to 12V and early 12CD 1275's so it would be right around the time of 'Naderization'.

You should just be able to cap them with a vaccuum cap of the right size without any problem.

Or use them as your PCV source as they were intended- using them to put vacuum on your crankcase will slow the oil leaks tremendously.
Merry Christmas to all!

Hmm, I never considered the carb to carb connection. Good idea! Would that tend to equalize any differences in vaccuum between each carb?
