AUC er AUD?

I just received a used and pretty worn set of SU HS2 carbs to play with and learn the ways of SU carbs. I noticed that Moss and VB list by AUC or AUD letters. These carbs have a different marking on each part! Where would I find the the correct identification for parts? I think I can manufacture alot of these parts but I will still need to purchase a few like jets and gaskets. There are spring loaded needles if that helps. They were supposed be off of a 74 1275 Midget.

Everything is the same in the HS2s except for the butterfiles, solid or poppet valve, and spring (biased) needles and solid needles, and everyhting is interchangable if desired. Forget Moss for carb parts, call Joe Curto. Here's a tip for you if you are are going to rebuild them go with new standard shafts, and revert back to the solid butterflies, they are cheaper and better peformaning the the poppet valve butterflies, used HS2 almost always need new standard shaft, and new butterlfies.

as an aside, I had to replace a diaphram in my carb today - picked it up yesterday from my local Moss guy. Opened the bag and Joe Curto's car fluttered out - guess I know where Moss gets their stuff.
