Are BMW The owners of the Triumph marque going to produce a new TR harking back to the TR2 with all new drive technology ?

My take is that Triumphs haven’t been made for approximately 47 years. The only people who would recognize the subtle details are all the gray hairs and they are not the target audience for EV’s.

Few remember that this car also set an economy record of 74 MPG on a closed course.......rockhard tires
metal tonneau , belly pan windscreen removed ect ect. Several years back I built a special Tr2 motor
for a friend.Had the original head and block to work with. This was a stage 2 build with steel rods, polished crank,
big valves,Vanolia pistons(87mm) balanced to .5gr. Ran like stink!! and still got 39MPG on the road at 80 mph.
It is my contention that the old Tr2 head was like the snowmans hat......
