As there is not a Rols Royce section I thought this was the best place for this video.

Thank you for that, David! Marvelous. I've had the pleasure(?) of working on a couple of the old girls, one needing a new clutch, the other was a water pump. Quite the eye-opener. That was in the late eighties and Rolls was the only parts source. Had to buy a set of proper "spanners" as a result, also.

Best line in th' video, by the fellow plugging a radiator: "Someone stole my beer."

The hard left turn at 20:37 looks an awful lot like the corner on the Twisted Sisters (TX 335 / 336 / 337) where I was absolutely sure I was about to write off my new-to-me R-Type and send my wife and me to meet our maker. I was approaching at a much higher speed than in the video... fortunately R-R had made considerable improvements to their brakes by 1954! It took a fair bit of muscle and the repeated application of some 4-letter words, but we made it through.

Very enjoyable video, thank you David for finding and sharing that.

Great stuff! First encounter with those early carbs had me laughing. That they work at all is amazing.
But must admit they have a certain elegance to them. 😉
