As seen on Craigslist: "MG Midget Replica"

It could be worth $10K if it had been a race car with some history....but obviously, it was not a race car (smogged engine), etc. It could be fun to fix up if the price was $1 to 2K.
Scott in CA

I'm with Scott on this. At $1-2k it could be a very interesting project. Were it closer at that price I'd go look at it. At the asking price it's just a dream for the seller.

I like it too, though the price is way too high. I think it could easily be modified to be a decent fun car.

Actually kind of cool, obviously not worth 10K, but it works in a crude hot rod "old yeller" period special kind of way, and probably a hoot to drive.

Agree with many of the above. Looks kind of interesting, but too much money.

If someone had an old rusty Spridget, building it into something like this might be fun (but not me.....I have enough projects)

A few thoughts.

1. How about that exhaust pipe, that thing will test one's manhood, a Jerry Lee Lewis song comes to mind.

2. As narrow as a MG Midget already is, you're going to have super model width hips to fit in that thing.

3. Women, never listen to your old, batty, car guy, husband, when he tells you some contraption he is working on out in the garage is priceless.

4. Those poor grand kids are going to be disappointed.

The listing has expired but from the descriptions and price I am assuming it was the Midget that someone was trying to build into a Lotus-7 (LoCost) look-alike. It was a sad, sad, listing. It reminded me of so many other cars many of us want to buy. You know... the car that has been sitting in someone's driveway rotting away under a tarp and you make the offer to buy it only to be told that the car is priceless and the owner isn't interested in selling because they are going to "fix it up someday". You make the offer anyway and they are insulted because they KNOW the car is worth 5 times that amount and all it needs is a Maco/Peach paint job to be ready for the road. But I digress. Suffice it to say the listing was a sad little midget that someone started customizing so it was even "less" than someone's unfinished restoration project.
