Armrest covering question

I'm putting the leather over the wood armrests and need to know if that small 6" piece of piping goes behind the chrome mounting bracket flush with the end of the wood or does it mount right up to the bracket. I've had the armrest apart so long that I forgot.
Thanks
Rick

I'll try. Not good with posting pics. Should be an easy answer. Just need to look at the end of the armrest where the vent window is and see if the piping is flush with the end of the wood or right up to the chrome mounting bracket.
Thanks a lot
Rick

There's ton's of pics available on the internet... Search the name of the car, and variations: <car> interior, <car> door, <car> door panel, etc. Yahoo and google image searches work best IMHO.

What year and model MG? I'd be glad to post a pic of my '77 armrest ifn it would help... But the PO recovered it himself long ago... and never reattached it.

I'll look at my '78B and see if I can get you good pix. I am a retired photographer so might be able to do that! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Photog as well, and an insomniac:

Rick: This is the Vickie Brit one, my originals are long gone. The bead goes from the felt/metal window wiper right to the chrome end cap.

HTH!

Thanks, Doc. I just took the pix and was going to send the same picture you did. Great photographers minds work the same, eh?

Oh... I thought he meant the console armrest - duh.

Hope That Helps
