The Eleventh day of the Eleventh month.......

"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them".

In memory of my two great-uncles who served in the 2/6th South Staffordshire Regiment during The Great War from 1914, and fought in both France and Belgium. Bill Lewis who was gassed at Bourlon Wood during the battle of Cambrai in November 1917, was evacuated back to England and thereby survived the war. Arnold Favill who died, together with the rest of his battalion on March 21st 1918, the first day of the last German offensive and who's body was never found.....

Nice post, Steve.

My heartfelt thanks to all veterans, old and young.

Thank you for our freedom.
