Any Forum members driving the BEAT (British Euro Auto Tour) out of Phoenix this weekend be sure to say hey to me somewhere along the way.

I plan to be in the green TR4.

Love that dawn start... 150 cars all trying to get out of the Sheraton parking lot (2 small exits) at the same time... the air filled with the fumes of Castrol and rich carbs... Porsche & BMW drivers sure there will be a trophy if they can just get there fast enough... find me and talk to me if you're there.

Jerome is still there, defying gravity, erosion and zoning.

It is quite a sight to be in the midst of a line of 160 sports cars snaking down the switchbacks of Jerome where there is a line of cars above and below you as well as fore & aft.

Missed it again, darn it !

Maybe next year, if the planets align for a change.

I try to make it every few years. This one was very fine as the weather was grand throughout. There have been many years with snow in Flag and blistering heat in PHX (in the same day of course).

Meanwhile, there is this:

Hopefully nice Fall temps & colors and about $4750 less than the Copperstate 1000.
