found a 1977 RHD midget imported from merry old England. still has their tags. As with most of the cars I buy I need to travel 2 hours just to see it. No photos to see, Word of mouth deal.
but they showed me a photo of a car they said it looks like, It did not have rubber bumpers. Did the English models not have rubber bumpers?

British cars had rubber bumpers too, just the same as US. Main difference, aside from the steering was the British ones still had the really great dual SU carbs instead of the single Zenith. Is that the one in Fayeteville?

9:1 compression too - was reviewed as the first genuine 100 MPH Midget

Yes it is in Fayetteville, Not sure if I am intrested in it since it is a rubber bumper car, it should have the good ratio rear end differential I need for My bug eye tho, Motor and trans are trashed /gone, sounds like lot of fender rust

British models did have rubber bumpers:

Yup, they avoided the big padded dash that the stateside cars received.

On the rear of that car having a light on each side of the plate sure does look weird. Is that how they were?
