Well its been a while since I have been around here. I have made contact with a few people for parts but have dropped the ball in sending them.
Let me explain. Seems I will be joining the ranks of the unemployed. I have been working at a Cooperative Extention Services for our local school districts as the purchasing manager for the past two years after retiring from the Navy. This beeing a civil service position, I was hired with a condition I was reachable from the top three. Well..I missed it!
needless to say, I have been focused on this rather than the hobby...

Before all start sending the "OH, thats too bad", I see it as a good thing. The wife has been hitting the street looking in other states for a Nursing Supervisor position and wants to become the main bread winner. She has given me the OK for a career change, open my own bussiness or stay home and play Mr Mom.

Dont be suprised if we show up in your neck of the woods!

California, Arizona, DC, Virginia are on the list.

Wish us/me luck!! We wil be here in the wings..

Don't pass up Middle Tennessee!

And good luck to you both with the searches!

Mickey

Good luck. It seems like you have a good plan going forward. Take your time and pick the right spot and it will work.

Funny,
My oldest will be heading down there next year for school. His grandfather has 75 acres down the road from Campbell.

Is he coming to Austin Peay?

Nurses and school employees are two occupational fields that you should have no problem in finding employment in Hawaii.

And the weathers nicer than New York.

Know the weather well, spent 11 years in Guam. Sun and sand, cant beat it!

Not sure, Grandpa was a professor at the University of Guam. And he is checking things out. May do the community college thing to get direction.

Come to the 4 corners area, work and play opportunities abound.

Be happy to see you down here in Virginia. Lots of back roads here in the western part of the state that are good for Triumphs!

I would say come here, the home of the Mayo Clinic but it is cold, teaching jobs are hard to get but Nurses are always looked for. Good luck in your search.

Come on down to Charlottesville! We have a major University and two large hospitals. They can probably use a good nurse or two. Good cost of living, etc.

Good LBC club scene with endless twisty country roads, too.

Good luck in your search.

There may be some jobs in the Denver/Colorado Springs area for ex-Navy, too. We have quite the ex-military community.
