Just saw that one blasted across the East coast on Wednesday around 2:30 AM. Burned up near West Virginia.

Heard about it but no hope of seeing it. Checked sky at 1:00AM, socked in.

A couple of years ago we had one in Michigan in the winter. I just happened to be looking out the kitchen window and saw it quite clearly even with the lights on. Then a loud boom could be heard. Awesome stuff; just don’t tell the dinosaurs I said that…!

Was out in the middle of the desert south of Sedona with wife the other night taking Milky Way pictures. As I was adjusting the tracker and Camera, wife was loudly asking, “did you see that?” No, I did not see the apparently spectacular meteor that she saw.

Life genuinely is what happens when you are making other plans.

Most people refer to them as fireballs but they are technically Bolides.
There was one I clearly saw a few months ago.
It was about 20% the size of the moon traveling much slower than any meteor I have ever seen.
The path it traveled was North to South, and I think it was around the time of the Perseid shower.
Pretty amazing sight, even for someone constantly stargazing.
