No price. I bet it'll be too high.

In SoCal, 210s are advertised on CL as "collectible" with 2 or 3 thousand price tags and some of those ads have run for more than a year. Not sure where this BS came from. Yes, the 5 speed is popular. No, people do not pay more than 800 for them and most go for around 5, like a Toploader. A14s and A15s are common, since they are left behind when people take the 5 speed from self-serve yard cars. So I don't know where the asking prices on CL come from but I don't see them moving and I was searching on them everyday for a couple of years before I bought my drivetrain.

Lately it seems my emails to CL posters have not been getting through and when they don't post a phone number it's pretty hard to communicate with them.
I emailed this guy just after seeing Bill's post here and still haven't received an answer.
I tried and tried to contact another guy on CL last week, no answer.

Well now I see why I'm not getting an answer...

Hate to burst you guys bubble but that car more than likely had the H95 head. Smog head that restricts power. Least that is the one I keep running into.

Kurt.

This guy's not answering because he has pulled the ad. Probably has it sold. I hate it when sellers don't reply. I always try to reply sold or not.

Don't be doing that. Makes me sad.

The H95 head, according to the Datsun1200 wiki is 81-82. I haz one. The 1980 has the H89. The one I have came off a 1980. But I'm sure a seller won't mind if a prospective buyer lifts the valve cover to check the code, right?

Nope- one for my '65, one for my '69 and one (maybe) for my MGA, and a few spares.

I do have a Z box and 1800 3-main for the "A" but at one point I was thinking of putting a Datsun A15 and 5-speed in it, still thinking (scary thought, huh?)

Is that right---80 has the H89??? I thought they were JDM only while we got the smog head's. If so I need to do a bit more searching!

Kurt.

Bill, an A needs a good L20b backed by a Z five speed!! Ship me the A series and I'll ship you the L20b and a Z 5 speed if you want!!

Kurt.
