Anyone near Roanoke?

Depends on what you're lookin' for . . . :rolleyes:

I'm about 2 hours away and go there on occasion. We have other members here that live in Roanoke, I'm pretty sure.

Let us know what you need.

Was it the Freightliner place near hte airport at Peters Creek Rd.? If so, there's an old British Leyland car dealership about 3 miles from there, you shoulda gone to see the showroom!

Webb Imported Motors on Williamson Road. Been in business since the 1960s. I bought a used GT6 there in 1972. Byron Webb and his son have a beautiful array of LBCs, some like new, in the dealership's showroom. Among them:

> a "new" TR-8 (by "new", I mean perfect, concours condition);
> a "new" '67 AH Sprite;
> a "new" Rover 3500 TC;
> a couple of very nice MGB roadsters;
> a nice Triumph 2500 saloon;
> a "new" TR-3a.

All are for sale, I'm told (at top retail prices, no less). They also perform restoration services. It's like a candy store for any LBC lover. LBC car clubs have meetings there sometimes, Mr. Webb is very active in the LBC community.

There's probably a drool spot on the parking lot pavement in front of the showroom window where I stand, looking and wishing . . . :yesnod:

If you also leak fluids in the presence of LBC's you might be a british car owner.
