Apparently Pick-n-pull in Fairfield has 2 Datsun 210's, and I am looking at doing the Datsun coversion. So is there anyone near that can verify if the tranny's are still there for me? I don't really want to drive 130 miles to find a car lacking what I need.

Do they answer the phone? (I know some won't look for you)

If you're willing to wait until June 4th,I'll be driving my pickup
back from the Sacramento airport.I could deliver them to you for some
gas money.

Edd, I'm not to far from Fairfield.
There is what I found on the search.

Make Model Year Row Date On Yard
Datsun 210 80 0016 02/25/2011
Datsun 210 74 0010 05/04/2011

Note: The first one, 1980, has been there since 2/25/2011. Based on how fast these trasmission fly out of the yard, I would be surprised to find it at the end of May.
The 1974 is the wrong year.

If I go by there this week, I will check for you.

BTW: I drove up to the Woodland show with my "new" 5-speed, and it was sweet. Also a 3rd place out of 7 BEs in class.
Great time, great show!

Nice Scott, I was there for a bit and tried to find you, but no luck. And my cell phone battery died, so I couldn't call you...bummer.

Congrats Scott,

Glad to hear you made it. How did you remedy the issue you were having?

Gerard, out of sight....two of the driveshaft spacers did the trick, one might have done it, but I went over the top and just put both on. Thanks again.....it ran like a dream!

I'd still take a look at it. A couple of years ago I came across a '75 B210 and almost kept walking, but decided to take a closer look. Someone had transplanted the bigger A15 engine with the matching 5-speed! I pulled it out immediately.

Anyway, it's still worth looking at.....you never know.
