You have to be kidding? It will be worth more in a few years than the score you MIGHT make now. Plus if you ever sell your car, it is an option for bigger bucks.
 
So, did you get it? I saw that ad and figured it would end up being for a spitfire etc. There is a TR4 hardtop for sale in the Seattle area as well. I would buy it if I had the space to store it.
 
IMHO....This should be worth the time to do a "Flea-Bay"

Well, I passed on the hard top.
The shell is in decent shape,and the seals will need replacing, but, no liner bows or vents.
Any one interested still I'll contact him for you.
He has a TR4 . Didn't know those fit on a 4

What kind of shape were the seals around the windows?

I am probably going to check it out myself, however if the seals around the windows are shot, it's not worth what he is asking, as it will have to be taken to a glass place to get the seals replaced.
 
Fair certain Mr. MacGregor up in Canadia has the seals. It's a job replacing them but it isn't so bad you'd need a commercial shop to do, IMO.
 
I think they are readily available.

I picked it up yesterday.

The seals around the glass seemed good for a few years yet. Glass was like new. Metal was in fairly good shape, bit of rust around the bottom but nothing I can't take care of. No dents. What was the kicker in the deal was he threw in the new hardware (still in TRF packing) with it, even though he was going to install a different hard top on the car. I think I got a reasonable deal on it.

I'm a happy camper now!
