Anyone in SE Michigan, or Northern Ohio with XJ 4.2 Cam removal tools to borrow?

I just checked the valve clearances in my newly aquired XJ6C due to somewhat low compression numbers... I have very tight clearances on 3 cylinders, some with both valves at .005 clearance. I would like to get them into spec, need the cam locking tool and probably the timing chain tensioning tool. Anyone have these that I could borrow for a couple of weeks? Thanks in advance!

I have a homemade chain tensioning tool I made following the instructions found at another forum, you can have it, just pay shipping cost. The Cam locking tool came with all the toolkits found in any Jaguar from 1959 through 1987, so that one you can find easily in or near Ohio.

$6.00 via priority mail with delivery confirmation. Send me a pm if you want to proceed.

here's the link to the instructions if you want to make one, probably $3.00 in bolts and washers at ACE Hardware, Home Depot, or Lowes.

also there is a guy called Gordon Richards who lends or rents Jaguar tools, (with a deposit I assume). He is in South Florida. Contact him here: gordopost@yahoo.com
