where do the wires that go to it come from and go to?

Yep - pretty sure that's a noise suppressor. It was generally used to filter out alternator whine and ignition crackle from stereos, and particularly CB radios. It was wired inline on the radio power connection. (But about as effective as you-know-whats on a boar hog!)

By the way, floors look great!

I'm sure that it is a ramiflam. It sets up percogitation of the flamulator valve. DON'T TOUCH IT!

STOP! DON'T TOUCH IT!! It is a Uranium Pew-36 Explosive Space modulator and there is a SERIOUSLY upset space alien who has been looking for it for a LONG TIME!!!

In one of my other lives, I managed Radio Shack stores. Can't tell you how many of those puppies crossed the counters during the CB craze.

Between them and calls for "leenyers", power mikes, and "White-faced Johnsons", I had my fill of "Good-buddies"!

Aww, come on......no takers for the Uranium Pew-36 Explosive Space Modulator......earth-shattering KA-BOOM!!??
Anyone......???

Okay Silverghost when the last time you saw bugs bunny or marvin the martin in a MGB

Well its gone and soon the rest of the harness will be gone as well. The deeper I dug the nastier the dpo stuff got. At least when I'm done I'll have a solid electrical system and in turn a substantially more reliable car.
