Anyone heard of an Innocenti Sprite?

Yep, I know a few forum members that own them too. I've supplied 5 speed conversions for two of them. "Abarth" Mark, on this forum, owns a very rare coupe. They are quite rare to see in person, but there used to be several that would show up for the Palo Also all British Meet when it still existed.

Nope, two different cars. One is white with not drivetrain; the other one is brown, with a hardtop and complete drivetrain.

the two auctions are the same car as far as i can tell

Mark's is a lovely car - have been trying to get a pic - the 5 speed was ummm snug to install but, it is a gorgeous car!

Here's one I saw at a GOF in Florida earlier this year. Was very nice, but they wouldn't let it onto the show field since it wasn't British, or maybe wasn't MG. Not sure of the politics, but I think it belonged to one of the local club guys who drove it.IMG_3644.jpgIMG_3643.jpg

Buy both of them, and you'll have a full set of tail lights!

Seriously, I've come soooooooo close to buying one of these in the past. I think an Italian take on the Spridget is such a cool idea.

And (again) seriously, it wouldn't be a bad idea to get both of them, and restore one with the best parts from both. Then, part out whatever is left over. I doubt that both are restorable, given the limitations in finding certain pieces.

See attached letter. Crazy for not letting the car in .

They made about 7000 spiders and only 800 of the coupes . The green coupe and my white one are the only two in North America .
Cheers
