Hi guys. I'm trying to confirm the application for some NOS Sprite/Midget bearings and valves in my possession that originally came from Repco. I can't find anything with Google. If one of you have an old Repco catalogue or cross reference list and would be willing to check a few numbers for me, or e-mail me a PDF, please PM me.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

I found an ebay link.
https://cgi.ebay.com.au/Repco-Engin...ItemQQimsxZ20091030?IMSfp=TL091030177001r2580

Try to connect the auction winner. Good luck.

Bye michel- who is wondering why so much guys search in the whole world for technical NOS parts (with a risk of possible storage damage), although it exists a big market for new and upgrated technology parts
( understand me right,I`m an absolutely original fan)

Thanks, Michel. No buyer is listed. I'm amazed how much that went for.

In answer to your questions, I have found that most original parts and old new stock of the era is superior to the reproduction stuff they sell today. Repco bearings of the 70s and 80s were excellent. We used them for race engines and had no bearing failures. Anyway, I have some for BMC engines. I think they are mostly for 1098 Sprite and Midget motors, but I'd like to check the numbers against a catalogue.

Bill, I have Repco catalogs from waaaaay back. Been doing this for a while. Let me know what you need to know about. And you're right, many older product is better than the new stuff.

Peter,

Here are the part numbers on the boxes. I think most of this is for the later 1098 cc A series engine with the wider main bearings. But I would appreciate knowing what other cars they may fit.

First the bearings

3M2215AL-STD (Says to suit Datsun on the box, but as I recall they also fit BMC)
3M2215AL-010 (same as above, but 10 over)
3C4306-STD (Say to suit BMC. These are cam bearings)
4B1891-010 (To suit BMC)
4B2201-010 (To suit BMC)

Valves

RV34274

Thanks so much for looking these up for me.

Best regards,

Bill

Peter,

A new member over on the Spridget board had the applications. No need to look it up. Thank you very much for offerring your help.

Best,

Bill

Hello Bill,

some last words. I know all the bad parts from asia... What I would like to say is, there are some quality supplier on the market. For example usually AE-bearings or from Glyco or Mahle.
In my healey works actually cheap king-bearings...manuf. in Israel. I also have some concerns on this brand.Originally there was vandervell bearings on place.

All language mistakes are made to entertain the native speakers..

Bye-michel who also like good quality parts, but in a realistic frame
