There's one over in the Atlanta area that pops up for sale from time to time....I used to know where one had been standing for years & years neat Athens, GA but haven't been over that way in a few years.
Yep, I'm here. I run the North American Marcos Registry and also the Yahoo Groups Marcosmaniacs forum. There are about 80 Marcos in North America that I'm aware of. More pop up occasionally. They used wood monocoque frames until 1969 when they switched to tube steel frames. Nothing newer than 1985 has made it over here until now. Marcos now has an office in Santa Monica.
Id love to have a marcos, I just dont think I could afford one. Those new marcoseses look nice. I saw the guys from top gear review it. Love those guys.
I just checked out the price list for the new marcos. Starts at 49k and has about 5-10k in options. Im pretty sure thats in pounds as well. 60k quid would be like 120+k here. : (. I wish I could find one here that is in some old ladys garage.
Keep your eyes open, you never know what will come up! I saw one down here rolled out of a storage bay right after one of our hurricanes. It could have been picked up for a bargain. Unfortunately someone had chopped the top off to try and make it a convertible! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/eek.gif

How much can you afford? There are usually 2 or 3 on Ebay each year. Prices start at $20+K and go down from there. I know of a really nice one for $22K.
Yeah thats to much for me at the moment. I work for the county in mental health, so I make very little money. HAHA. One of these days though I will get myself a marcos. I think they are beautiful.
