I found a NOS Lucas light (I think it's a either a license plate light or an interior courtesy light) marked L696, but I have no idea what car it was intended for or what it's supposed to be used for. Does anyone have a Lucas catalogue who can look this up? Thanks.

The Kestrel 1100 was the same as the Austin/Morris versions, and the number plate lights were pretty much universal for all BMC cars of the period. You'll find they should fit Austins, Healeys, MGs etc..........

I thought as much, but it won't fit my Healey BJ8. It's actually an odd shaped piece, with the corners curved. So if I can't use it (and the one I have is near perfect), it would be a shame to deny it to someone who could use it. Thanks for the help.
