Anyone else got one of these?

This is a rubber plug in a hole on the rear panel just ahead of the bootlid (see attached photo). The hole is neat & round and about 1" in diameter. I keep forgetting to look at other cars to see if they have this. If it's DPO, it's getting welded up tomorrow. Anyone else's car have this "feature"?

Cheers!

Rob - as I asked elsewhere...is there one on the other side? When you remove the plug is it threaded inside?

Then its a DPO.

Start welding.

Might have been a CB antana one time.

Is that a canvas roof on the 'two tone' paint job? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

Hey, go easy there! I'm planning on putting a canvas top on my 'no-tone' paint job! I figure I can get it on the road without new paint, but not topless! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif
And yes, break out the welder.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

That's funny, most people I know think just the opposite. They'll spend all thier cash on paint, and worry about the top later, or not at all /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I second the DPO assesment. That looks like an old antenna hole to me

I like to have my tops ready....and usually in the top position, except for the 61 A which only goes up for storage...I've had cars with no tops and I get kinda annoyed everytime I want to drive it and have to mess with tonneaus and tarps ect, as they usually sit outside.

I had no top at all when I got the car, and the local place offered me the canvas top for the same money as a vinyl one. They had ordered it for a customer who never came back for it. It was great, until UV attacked the stitching and it fell apart at the seams. One of the hazards of not having a garage, I guess. Still, I got about 7 years out of it.....

I've attached a more current photo of the car for anyone who's interested.

That's really funny I just took pictures yesterday to post today. I had heard that they were holes for a hard top?

Sorry here is pic #1

Close -- S10. She was looking over her shoulder to see if there was anything in the next lane, ignoring that there was something in HER lane! I was sitting there stopped at a stoplight.
