Anyone doing a steering wheel swap - a little loctite might be a good idea

Yesterday morning as I was taking off from home my steering wheel about came off in my hands.
The center hub was still tight, but the wheel I was using was fastened to an adapter with several screws that had all vibrated loose.
The center of the wheel was held on by friction apparently, and came loose all at once.
Fortunately I wasn't on the freeway.

Yesterday afternoon I took it all apart and decided I'd go ahead and use Loctite on the screws.
I also took advantage of the opportunity to mount my new wheel, a Mountney.
It's quite an upgrade.
In this picture the center is just sitting there, not really attached yet.

Yikes, my steering wheel is held onto the adapter by 8 or 9 screws and nylocs. They are clearly visible so I should have plenty of notice.

A lot of race cars hare removable steering wheels and I've seen more than one video where they've come off (because they were not fastened properly). I actually bought a removable adapter for the wheel in my racer years ago, but it sits in my storage area.....probably will never use it (unless I gain a lot of weight!)
