I'm talking Innocenti Spyder. I know of one for sale and will hopefully go to look at it on March 5th. It's a restoration project for sure and I have no idea how bad or good it is but if interested and I don't want it let me know. For those who aren't familiar with it it's a Sprite based car designed by Ghia, and built by Innocenti under the a BMC license agreement. I'm certainly no expert in them but always thought they were very unique and cool.

Bump, because I had a couple people ask about it. I may not be able to see it tomorrow as first planned because of Jury Duty, but will do my best. The owner is being kind of secretive at this point, and hard to get info out of. I'm hoping that when I go to see it I have better luck.

Make sure all the trim pieces are with it. Some parts, like tail lights are in the unobtanium category. Before making an offer to purchase, I'd make a list of its needs and find out how available the parts are to complete it.

I agree. I've done some research and do know that the trim, glass, straight rust free body panels, etc are essential on this car. I can deal with minor rust, but too much and it's a waste of time. Because of Jury duty I'm unable to see it until Friday now. A fair price is not going to be easy. I emailed Haggerty on values, and they know what the car is, but have no reference for fair prices. I saw a restored one in the SF Bay area a few years ago at an asking price of $25k. Assuming that's what a restored one goes for I can always look at the overall cost to restore it and work back. Restoration of any car today is not inexpensive, so it would be easy to overspend. Best case is it's complete, has minor rust, and it costs $500. I already know the asking price is more so there will need to be some give on the sellers end to make this work. I did find out it has a clear title though.
