just wondering if any body is going to the TRF party this weekend along with british car day - vintage gran prix in Pittsburgh? Weather looks good should be a good time. Jim

I'm not going to the Summer Party. I'll be working British Car Day at Schenley Park. I usually end up parking Morgans and odd marques.
I'll have my '72 Mallard TR6, stop by for a cold one.
We usually have 400+ cars. There are Italian and German car shows going on in other fields along with qualifers on Saturday and racing on Sunday.
It is usually a really good time. I say usually because a year or two ago it rained about two inches in about fifteen minutes. There was an equal amount of lightning in the sky and lots of trees around us.
And they say it never rains on the golf course.

Thw VIntage Grand Prix is a great time, usually take the girlfriend and Puppy and park on the course in the Hummer(Mostly to [censored] off the enviro nuts) and watch the the races, tour the cars and eat greasy carnival food (my dog loves those Italian sauages that have been cooking for hours in onions and peppers) and talk to the other LBC people there. The LBC guys are always among the friendliest and the Italian car guys the grumpiest. Last trip there we even had a LBC car guys ask to have my Boston get in their gar so they could take a pic of his stellar form in their cars.

No Italian offers...

DougF, I was there two years ago! I'm still drying out. I will look for you. I will have mt 72 pimento red tr6 there.
hope to run into you, Jim

Weather is supposed to be good. Two years ago, what a time. I had 4 inches of water in my rainsuit pocket.
My father was selling his TR6. I told him to write "never seen rain" on the for sale sign. Some guy pulled him aside and lectured him about it. He couldn't see the humor and wanted my dad to cover it over.
I also watched from too far away as a guy walked past my car dragging his golf umbrella across my hood. Jerk! Ranks right up there with the person that emptied an ashtray on my tonneau cover.
Jim, I will look for you. We should be parked fairly close together.
