TR6 Any tips on removing flasher switch

I think there are a spring clip on each side.
Be very careful with it as that style is gold.
 
No springs. I fixed this once before. I just had to clean the parts from dirt and corrosion. It has plastic tabs that make it fairly easy to put in, but it does not look easy to get back out without busting one of the tabs. The only way I can see to get it out is to remove the metal plate it fits into, which means I would have to have access to the back of the wood dash-not something I am looking forward to.
 
Those tabs are spring tabs,and yes, you need to squeeze them if i remember correctly (IIRC)
