Any temporary Bugeye grille ideas while I send mine off?

I ordered a grille from AH Spares, they strung me along for a long time saying they would get supply on 4/8.
They emailed this morning saying the ones they got were "standard" not "premium".
I'm going to send mine to Knox, but want something until it gets back.
Something that isn't more ghetto than the one I've already got would be nice.
Any ideas?

Perforated metal?

Yeah I can get a piece of that from the hardware store and cut it.
I'll go see what they've got, I don't want it to look too much more ratty than it already does.

You can get 1x4 sheet of round punched for about $25 online.

You can buy expanded steel sheet (usually galvanized) at Home Depot and similar places. It's for reinforcing concrete.

I've used it for exactly this purpose (I painted mine black, but the normal color might be OK with your car).

you could always put a pinto grill in it... (I'm actually not sure of the size comparison of your bugeye to my front grill opening, but It's what mine had in it when I got it)

I sent the grille out priority mail today.
Hopefully Knox won't take too long to get it done and back to me.

I'd like to hear the details of your experience with Knox. I'm considering sending my chrome work to them as well.
thanks

As Trevor mentioned, you can get perforated steel via the net and you can get a variety of different perforation's if being more decorative is important.

I'll see what HD & Lowes have to offer this afternoon.
I should only need it a couple weeks, depending on how long Knox has it.

A two week turn around time is pretty amazing. Is that because it is just a single piece?

I think teeth - or a tongue or both

No that was just an off the cuff guess, I really have no idea.

Jim gave me an estimate of May 9th and $275.
