any one need a change of pace

Those are definitely interesting little cars, the baby Corvette....but they're heavy little suckers also! Friend once had one & let me drive it for a few days - door was so heavy that you had a hard time opening it on an incline...but it was fun to drive!

I always liked the body style on those little buggers! And I always wondered about how it would be to have a 289 H.O. V8 {or some such} engine in one. I bet it would go FAST in a hurry! Might even be a bit on the scarey side to drive, {foolish as I was about FAST back in tha day.}
Now I could have a rocket powered moped, but 60 M.P.H is plenty fast for gettin there an back for me.

/bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/driving.gif Drove one for 6 years. Went so far as to have special machined thingies put on the visors as the plastic one would crack and break in the winter leaving the visor to just 'hang.' Loved the car. Winter driving in New England didn't present any problems either. Had very few engine problems as I recall, only the usual maintenance items. Finally had to give it up when EX-husband took it (without permission) and ended up as the car in the middle - front vehicle an old station wagon and back vehicle a Pontiac Grand Prix. When he called, I didn't ask him how he was, but only the condition of the car. That was the beginning of the end!!! From time to time I think about that Opel GT and maybe one of these days I'll own another one. You just never know....
