I have ten vacuum tubes that have been stored away with some of my dad's old stuff - no idea why he had them, what they're for, or their condition. Could be for old radios, TVs, or guitar/PA amps. Free for the taking if anyone's interested; just cover postage.

Listing:
1) DL94
1) ECC83
1) ECL82
1) EF86
1) EM81
1) EZ81
2) 1U4

Don't remember them (and I'm sure they aren't super common). Nowadays you can look them up on-line... and, if they are special, even find a buyer. About a year ago, I sold a batch of about 50 tubes; most were run-of-the-mill ones (like 12AX7, that sort of thing) but a few were triodes, and some of those are worth $25 or more. If you're looking to sell them, the market is small, but a collector might like them.

I have a buddy who is an electronics repairman. He has quite an extensive collection of tubes for his trade, I'll run the list by him and see if he is interested in them if they are still available.

I'll take that list to a friend of mine who is big into tube amps and effects for his guitar. He might be interested.

Thanks, y'all. Did a search and they appear to be worth anywhere from a few bucks each to $20 or so. I have no use for them and hate to throw them out. Again, have no idea whether they are any good, but thought someone might be able to use 'em.

Mickey - many of those tubes were used in portable radios back in the 1940s and 1950s. The ECC83 sells for around $100 these days, depending on manufacturer.

You might also contact an area radio museum or aircraft museum; when they do restorations they're often looking for tubes.

Mickey, You can still decide to do whatever, but I showed the list to my musician buddy at work. He singled out ECC83 and ECL82 as pre-amp tubes that he could use. he was interested in the whole lot and said he would buy them. I told him I'd pass along his message. Depending on what you want to do, shoot me a price, or at least let us cover shipping costs.

As stated, since I don't know their condition (probably good, but won't commit to that), they're his for postage. Sending you a PM.

Thanks,
Mickey
