any of you flyboys or aircraft enthusiasts

I've used this and have it as an APP on my smartphone. In my area, it is usually about 3 minutes behind (perhaps due to security). I found it more accurate in Europe.
Back when that plane was shot down over Ukraine, it was interesting to see the entire area devoid of any aircraft (as you'd expect).

I think there are differing versions of the APP (and the Android version isn't so good). I saw one on an iPad that was really neat; you could switch to "pilot view" (which was essentially using some sort of Google view). Nifty idea.

Adding:
I see there is still an absence of aircraft over eastern Ukraine (at the Russian border).

In my first post I mentioned the approximately 3 minute delay because I have a view to our airport and the images rarely comport (until a few minutes later).

have it on my android phone and my desktop and the time difference seems to be ok here as one on its way to dublin just flew over and was right on the map. If you have google plugin then you can get a cockpit view but it doesn't help at night as you just get a dark screen

Great app on iPad when my son comes to visit from Duluth he texts me his tail number on the cirrus he is flying and I can track him and time it to be at the FBO just as he lands. Pretty handy

The approximate 3 minute delay (in my location) is annoying... because that's a LONG distance.

I just put the wife on a plane this morning in Tulsa to go to Pennsylvania for my granddaughters wedding. I've been watching her flight as it travels, not on your program, but another which singles out individual flights by flight number and only shows the aircraft in mention. Their over Tennessee as we speak. PJ

FlightAware is another one like this I use all the time.
