Any Little Rock members around?

Hey guys

My job just sprung a job transfer on me. I will be moving in the next 3 weeks.

I will be moving from here in South Louisiana to North Little Rock, Arkansas.

I am not too terribly familiar with the LR area, so any pointers in terms of housing, cost of living, etc would be greatly appreciated.

I may also be having a large car selloff. I do not know what and if I will be able to move cars with me. I'm reeling a bit right now, and trying to weigh my options.

Thanks for any help anyone can give.

Zack I hope a promotion goes with the move!
Terriphill, who hangs at the Spridget forum is in LR. She's got a 1500 Midget.

It looks loverly as I drive through it a couple times a year on a business trip to Huntsville /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif (Lots of traffic in the AM is all I can really tell you)

Zck, I've not been to Little Rock in years...but as I remember, its Arkansas' Baton Rouge (if you know what I mean)....hehehehe

Why not come on all the way over to Paradise?

I would bossman, but we have yet to expand into Alabama.

I am a little apprehensive about the move, because I know it will be a slight culture shock.

It is a promotion, so I will see how it goes. I have a bit of a probationary period with this promotion, but if I make it through that, it may very well be a permanent relocation.

And trust me, with be being single, don't think the idea of buying a warehouse/office and living in it has not crossed my mind. LOL

Got a friend here in town who just did that - bought a big old building in a lower rent district....electric garage door opener gets him in & out quickly (there's also a regular door with an intercom & one of those security cameras so he can see who's outside)...bottom floor is car storage....mezzanaine is loft-type apartment.

I would love to help you with info on our little burg. Its really not too much of a change from Lafayette. PM me and we will set up some info to help you get started. Are you wanting ot live in LR or North LR (two different cities..each with their own idiosyncrasies) Depends on a lot on what you are looking for. Terri
