Heading there tomorrow for a short overnight stint. Found a great one in Tucson last month and need to track one down in New Mexico /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

AH, you're going to be in my neck of the woods. Unfortunately I could not begin to tell you where any pubs are, but I do have a handle of some pretty decent Mexican restaurants (and a Couple of good BBQ places as well).

Two places:
1. Robb's Ribbs on San Pedro, couple blocks north of Menaul. (Their Beer Sausage Sandwich is ummmm ummmm good!)

Quarter's (Two locations, one kinda close to the Airport). Just Google either of them for addresses and Mapquest or Google Maps to pinpoint locations.

I have it on very good authority that the best Margaritas in town can be had at Garduno's on 4th Street........don't know if you're into those. For regular pubs, I drew a blank, sorry.

Since I don't drink I can't comment on the Margaritas, but let me just say that teh last time Basil & Sybil were at that place we were very much unimpressed with the service and the food was not the best either. That was not always the case. Years ago, the place was fantastik, but something happened over the years and in our opinion at least, it has really gone down hill. BUt as I say, I can't speak to the topic of the Margaritas. But there is one of those restuarants right in the Albuquerque Sunport, so if yu want to give them a try you don't have to go far.

Well, I gave Rudy's on Carlisle a run and it was pretty good.

Killed a little time today by running up and down historic Route 66 and made some mental notes on some future eating stops.

Also had to drive to Santa Fe yesterday to see a customer and, afterwards, made the lovely drive up to Taos and back - WOW! Too bad I was in a rental car and not a topless LBC.

My advance apologies to anyone who may drive a Suzuki XL7. This was, quite possibly, the worst rental car I have ever had. No power, impossible to find a comfortable seating position and blind spots all around. For a company that makes world class championship racing motorcycles, you'd think they'd put even just a little oomph under the hood of their tin can cages.

My first trip to New Mexico and definitely not my last - beautiful country!
