I am posting here because the racing forum seems to focus more on personal experience, vintage racing, etc.

I am watching the hungarian grand prix as I type, amazing how competitive it has gotten since the "dark days" (one man's opinion) when Schumacher was winning all the time.

I think there is an amzing pool of talent out there now, Vettel, if he keeps it up could get himself on the "one of the best ever" list, Hamilton, Alonso, Weber all seem very very good, the young Frenchmen Grosjeans, leading the race briefly as I write due to pits stops, seems to have the potential to be a phenomenal young talent, good drivers, team parity, good racing.

Potential spoiler alert!!!!

Heck it's even more competitive than just last year (2011) when Sebastian Vettel led 739 laps (a record). He also won 11 of the nineteen races, was on the podium 17 times, and had the pole position 15 times. It was one of the most dominant car/driver combinations ever.

Lotus on podium! Between RoGro and Kimi the second half of the season oughta be good to watch.

I know Chapman's gone, I know about the only thing left is the badge. But it's THERE after too long an absence. I'm chuffed.

Schumi DNFs, Hamilton pole, great racing! Alonzo was a surprise.

A pal was around a few races back, watched as a tire change went about at 2.5 seconds and could not accept that they'd changed all four and GONE that quickly. He was stunned, never saw anything like that before.

I did my part (even though the T-shirt's got the original green and yellow colors) rooting Grosjean to his 2nd place finish at this year's Canadian GP back in June.

Great to see Lotus having success again, and how about Caterham, the Lotus 7 replica company, having their own F1 Team?

I don't follow Formula One as much since they abandoned Indianapolis.

I did go to Indy last Friday and watched the Grand Am races.

Fun day.
