Antigue Car Show

Today was the annual All Puerto Rico antigue
car show. David, Wendy and I were up in the
mountain town of Guavate filling our faces with
spit roasted whole pig and many plates of other
local goodies.

So David and I were a bit late to the show and
missed the judging. But cool! There were two TR6s
at the show. One arrived and left on a flat bed tow
truck. The other entered the show grounds under it's
own power driven, by two grease bag gringos.

enjoy the photos:

Looks like there musta been a sale on "Continental Kits" at some point, too.

Doc, It's Puerto Rico, not Cuba!

It least I know now where all of the 56 Fords have disappeared to.

These cars look pristine! I'd love to get my hands on the 63 Chevy Impala with the 409 (on flatbed trailer) in it or that green Mustang hiding the Shelby package.

Actually I wouldn't mind some of the cracklins' off of the pig at this time of the day either.

Dale is that guy loading the trailer a plumber? You like taking pics of butt cracks or what?

Hmmmmm, what's Dave doing by that pole?

Uh.....like David is being a good citizen and
recycling his beer??

I think that Dave just doesn't like MG's and he's not afraid to show it!

Is that an emergency brake under the front
tire of the TD?
Also, what's the deal there, don't these people
drive their cars to the show?I noticed a lot of
tow trucks.

Maybe Pedro had some more 100% restored antique cars to sell. It's the only way they can get to the show.

Dale-

Just checked back in and WOW, have you made some progress - great pics and great movie too. Enjoy your TR6, at least yours isn't a trailer queen (maybe I should say tow truck queen) like those other attendees!

Now that you can scoot around the island in proper fashion, if you see a dark green 71 out there, say hi to the owner for me as I sold one that went to Puerto Rico about 10 years ago. Of course its likely that the car is stuck in the garage having major work done still as I was that 'dreaded previous owner' back then!

Cheers,
Randy
