Wedge on ebay.

Looks promising...

Is it just me or has officially every TR8 ever made been for sale on ebay over the past few months?

Mickey, looks like it was owned by a little old minister that only drove it to church on Sundays!

Which makes mine all the more valuable, since I don't drive mine to church!

Seriously, I'm not a wedge fan but it looks pretty good!

Yep, looks good - pretty original, too. These cars are definitely an acquired taste, but WOW - when they're dialed in properly, they are quite the surprise!

I'm watching this one...

Encouragement not necessary here... Just ask my wife!

Money and space are, though!

Thanks - I'll tell Janet you said so...

A few on the west coast on CL. When I figure out how to apply for some of that bailout money that they seem to be throwing at anyone who cries loud enough, I'll grab one of these!

John, you didn't tell me that dentists are getting bailed out too! Where can I get some? I could use it.

It never fails. Every year, in the dead of Winter, several nice TR8s come up for sale at a decent price. This year seems like there are more than usual. I've seen around a dozen TR8s since Cristmas. Don't fear. Come Spring time, you will have a hard time finding one at a decent price. In January most people are faced with the stress of paying credit card and other debts. They look at a seldom driven toy and see money that can go towards those debts. Come Spring time, the economic stress is behind, and the car comes out of the garage. Once the owner drives the car again, it is no longer for sale. The prospective buyers are not thinking about buying a convertible sports car when there is snow on the ground. This year has been very productive. I purchased three wedges so far that were stored away for many years. I hope to resell them for a profit in the Spring when the buyers come out. That always seems to coincide with the tax return season, and the melting snow. If you want a TR8- buy now.

San Diego TR8
Escondido TR8 disassembled
Coronado TR8

What's the story with that first one? No air-flow meter? Can you run a car like that?

More on topic....that e-bay car looks pretty good.

I'll hide the fact that I'm a dentist since they'll just assume I have more money than I need already, unlike those poor CEOs in their second-hand business jets. I figure if I show them all my auto receipts, I can qualify as being in the auto industry.

That first one looks like it has a MAF sensor
