Sorry, but I've another trivia question for anyone who happens to know:

What is the size of the castle nut holding the output flange to the mainshaft on a TR3 transmission?

I failed to pull it last week as it is larger than my largest socket which is 1 1/8". Looked visually about 1 1/4", but I failed to measure it.

I'm asking because I'm away from my TRs and on vacation - my father has graciously offered to let me borrow one of his sockets. I'm worried that he's getting older, otherwise he would have remembered that I never returned the other sockets I borrowed back in 1974..

By the way, the weather is gorgeous in Northern Wisconsin, I did manage to spot a yellow TR3 in Madison on the way up but couldn't catch it. I'm way jealous of folks like Tom and others.

Have a great 4th
Randy
