Another TR-3!

Hey all! My name is Dave and I am in Rockville MD. I have a 1957 TR-3 TS21405. It has been thru the mill, so to speak, and I started bringing it back to life last August. It was originally bought by my wife and her first husband in MN, then went with him to TX. She got it back about 20 yrs ago and we had a bunch of work done, mostly body and interior. Yes, I know the colors selected are not the original white/blue interior (and not correct to Triumph either!) but that's another story.

Anyhow, it sat in our garage for almost 20 years and I finally got around to it late last year (I also have a 1940 Buick that has occupied most of my free time the last few years). First, the engine turned over first by hand and then starter and got good compression. Next thing was the radiator was roached so I had to take the front sheet metal off to replace. Also had to do a bunch of other things (new fuel pump, water pump, hoses, overhauled distro, overhauled and tuned the dual SUs, repair wiring, replaced the front brake pads and hoses, reset voltage reg to spec, yadda yadda yadda). It started and runs, and finally did a test drive about 2 weeks ago. WOW! Lotta fun to drive!

Of course, there are many issues still remaining until I can call it solid, and I am to the point where I need advice from those who have been there before. I will put each question into a separate thread. Apologies in advance for dumb questions, I usually try to search the forums before I ask (the AACA/Buick forums have been a great deal of help in my work on the "other" car).

Here we are:

Cool ride! Welcome to the asylum!

No stupid questions here (tho I've been guilty of a few stupid answers  ).
