Another Speedo Issue

Hi guys. Sorry I haven't been around much lately. Today was a beautiful sunny 35 degree day, perfect for warming up the oil.

I'm driving and notice my speedo stuck around 20 mph when I was doing (ahem) 55. I speed up and it slowly moves a little, to around 25. I slow down, and it slowly drops back to 20. I stop and it sits at 15. Check the speedo connection behind and it's tight. Never had a problem before, other than a little typical jumping. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Assuming it had been working correctly, the speedo cable might need some lubrication (sparingly). another possibility, and just the opposite, is that excessive lubrication has worked its way up the cable into the speedo itself, which can gum up the works. Two companies that repair speedo's are Nosingers and Mo Ma. Mo Ma rebuilt mine. In my case the cable was actually a little long causing the speedo to jump around. Had to send them the cable as well as the speedo.
