Is there a way to post more than one pic at a time?

Lovely pictures and lovely work! Welcome. Posting more than one picture is one of the perks of becoming a paid member of the site. You might also consider becoming one of the site's advertisers. People are always looking for shops with classic car experience like yours and since you don't seem to have a website, becoming an advertiser may be a good way to promote your wares. (We had a another shop owner about a year ago who even specialized in British Cars. He didn't really want to be part of the community he just wanted free advertising. I think he got bored and left - probably just as well.)

At any rate nice work.

Thanks! I was so happy to find this forum as I am in the process of doing a ground up on my '59 TR3. I will head to the home page and get myself signed up. I'm sure I will need to tap into some Triumph expertise and maybe I will be able to help fellow members in return.JD

You're definitely in the right place - not too many places on the web open minded enough to talk to Triumph owners. (Usually they end up huddled together in corners of Teenage Vampire Fiction websites (with their Twilight T-shirts) just for validation.)

Fortunately Basil (the site owner) insists we be polite to them. Mind you they have their own forum 'cause you don't want to mingle too much if you catch my drift.

Actually I shouldn't talk as I have a Triumph Spitfire 1500 "Big Block" in my Midget. Mind you it did take installing it in an MG to finally perfect the engine.

Silliness aside, welcome, you might want to introduce yourself over there if you need advice. This site was a tremendous help to me putting mine together.

Cheers

You have a great sense of humor! I will definitely be spending a lot of time on the TR forum I'm sure. I plan to hop around a bit as I have done a fair number of Jaguars and vintage race. I will be needing some help with the '52 Xk120 FHC I am doing now that arrived in boxes.

Welcome! - I have a TR6,& an MGB GT,
so I guess I have to talk to myself.
Oh wait, - I already do that.

Welcome aboard, JD.

Thank you for the warm welcome. I am looking forward to spending time on many of the forums offered. I will be spending a lot of time on the TR forum looking for details as I progress through my TR3 restoration. I hope I will be able to share some restoration techniques as well as some incredible restoration photos for inspiration.

Weren't mocking the spelling (didn't even notice that  ) More the sesquipedalian & capacious vocabulary.

"capacious vocabulary"...

Yeah, that's me all over. :smirk:

Beautiful Ford GT40, I saw one in an endurance race in Lourenco Marques in Mozambique in 1968 or 1969. The driver parked it in the parking lot of the hotel we were staying at so I had plenty of time to look it over, a great car.

It was beaten in the race by an open Lola 70, sponsored by an ice cream company, painted white with the slogan "Stop me and buy one". Commercial sponsorship was just starting in those days, and the GT40 was one of the last cars you could race but also drive on the street.
