You have to ask? Think I know that car....from where'd it wander loose?

Dunno about the black paint on the bumpers. That body color looks pretty good to me!

I agree. I always thought they should have painted the so-called "rubber bumpers" body color. Makes the car look less heavy to me.

Colin

Tony, The car came to Charlotte NC about 3 years ago.He got it out of somewhere in Virginia. A fellow Metrolina MG club member finally cut it loose. I was first in line and pulled the trigger. This is the 3rd rubber bumper GT i have owned. I will tag and insure it monday and start driving the beast. I will post a pic when the bumper color is changed. Bob

Then, its not the one I thought.....they're great beasts to just enoy riding in!

I like it with the painted bumpers and agree it looks "lighter" that way.
What color is it?

Its a 85 corvette color. The can says beige. Its very nice under the hood and the jambs and under the spare tire board is also painted pretty fair. Bob ALSO i am parting a 71 BGT if anyone is hunting any used crap!...AW stuff.... Bob

Looks like a nice car, must admit I like the colour coded bumpers!

I am not sure about the right part, but I am looking for a turn signal switch for my 73' roadster. I will check about the parts being the same, unless someone else knows off the top of their mind.

Thanks

Newkie

I think 72 was the last year for the grey plug and 73 went to the later style white plug. The parts Gt has bad switches. If you want them to try and fix yours they will cost you postage only. Bob

Bob, I could use the front sidemarker lamp and assembly. Actually just the passenger side (RH), and clear reverse lamps. Let me know if you have decent ones you want to move.

Art - if he doesn't have any, I've got lots.

Do you have the turn signal switch I have been looking to replace? Again, I have a 73B roadster.
I see VB has them on sale, but I just need a used one.

I'm still going through boxes for several switches.....I've now got a bunch hanging from nails in one of my buildings...just gotta identify them.

I'm not in a hurry since its in the garage for the winter. Let me know if you have one that you think will fit, as I will probably grab the one on VB before it goes off sale if I cant find a used one. I was hoping to save a little so let me know.

K - will do...I now have about 20 hanging from the rafters...gotta identify each one.

Here are some shots of the 74.5 Gt with black bumpers. There have been a few issues with the car but overall its pretty good. bob

What year did they start painting the part of the body that's behind/under the bumpers satin black?
