tecumseh, starting with building go-carts and minibikes using thier little motors sparked my interest in mechanics, they are directly responsable for what brought me into the aviation field, im sure there are many here that have a similar story, sad,sad news.
Unfortunately this sort of thing happens regularly. Think back to the 50s or 60s when many of us were kids. How many would have thought that most of the 100 year old names in railroading would be gone. Or airlines like PanAm and Eastern.
Inasmuch as by the latter part of the 1960s, Chrysler had bought England's Rootes Group (which kinda put an end to the Ford-powered Sunbeam Tiger), yes. The Cricket was basically a Hillman with cute graphics. :wink:
